The fourth shoot in our first-semester production period was my film "Rice". It was an eventful and rain-soaked three days. We faced some unique logistical and environmental challenges on this shoot, and my fantastic crew turned them in our favor and got the job done better than I could've imagined.

This is a fabulous series of set pictures taken by Mark Wiltshire and Chris Martin behind-the-scenes at "The Closet", a short I wrote and directed that was shot by the visionary eye of DP Erin Galey.

We're approaching the production period for our first big film project here at Tisch Asia, so I thought I'd take some time out to post another set of various images from around Singapore over the last month.

For our first Directing class exercise, we had to shoot a photo-roman: a film comprised only of still images. I thought it would be appropriate to post the end result here because my film, Cuckoo, is a series of photographs about taking photographs. Also, the story in my film was inspired by a picture I took several weeks ago at the Chinese Gardens and posted here (pic 7, "Chinese and Japanese Gardens" below). Other restrictions of the exercise: 2-3 minutes max, black and white, no sound.
